FUSION GITANA ZIZI ZABANEH

Fusion Gitana is proud to present our very own artistic director Zizi Zabaneh.  She will be teaching and performing in Orlando's Caravan of Dancers X!  She is a Flamenco, Latin and Belly dance Fusion dance artist.  She is also the producer of Caravan of Dancers.

She will be teaching 2 incredible workshops this year!

Workshops cost:

$70 each workshop (in advance).

$80 at the door (if space is available).

About ZiZi:

​

ZiZi Zabaneh is the director of Fusion Gitana, an international instructor, performer, and choreographer with over 28 years of experience. Born in Bogota, Colombia, she is of Lebanese descent.  Zizi started dancing at 15 with Salsa classes, then joined Grupo Arara, a professional Latin Cuban Dance Company, at 16. She began taking Flamenco classes to improve posture and technique, later becoming the principal dancer of Gypsy Fire Dance Company in Miami. At 18, she fell in love with Middle Eastern dance while exploring her roots.

 

Zizi has performed for celebrities like Tom Arnold, Elizabeth Shue, Chris Evert, Alonzo Mourning, Dwyane Wade, and Alan Thicke. Her international performances and workshops include Colombia, Mexico, Italy, Dubai, Puerto Rico, Argentina, and the United States.

 

Currently teaching in Central Florida, Zizi offers workshops nationally and internationally. She produces shows like Caravan of Dancers, bringing professional performers and instructors worldwide to Florida.

Her journey into the world of dance has been marked by a deep passion for cultural exploration and artistic expression. Her diverse background and experiences have influenced her unique dance style, which seamlessly blends elements of Flamenco, Latin, and Middle Eastern dance.

​

Throughout her career, Zizi has been dedicated to not only honing her craft as a performer but also sharing her knowledge and love for dance with others. As an instructor, she is known for her engaging and dynamic teaching style, which emphasizes both technical precision and emotional expression.

In addition to her work as a performer and instructor, Zizi is also a respected choreographer, creating captivating dance pieces that showcase her creativity and artistry. Her choreographic work often explores themes of cultural identity, femininity, and empowerment, resonating with audiences around the world.
