FLAMENCO & BELLY DANCE FUSION.
BEGINNERS / INTERMEDIATE

DESCRIPTION:
The fusing of Flamenco and Middle Eastern dance. In this class you will learn technique & improvisation. You'll learn posture, arm work (braseo), turns and skirt work. You will need to bring a wide flamenco or gypsy skirt, a hip scarf, a fan, and a veil to class. It is recommended that you do bring a water bottle to class. Choreographies will be taught towards the end of the class and performance opportunities will be available for certain events.
*Please note that performing is not mandatory.

SEVILLANAS (12:30PM-1:30PM) BEGINNERS

DESCRIPTION: The Sevillanas is a folk dance from Seville which over time has become part of the flamenco repetoir. Sevillanas consists of four "Coplas", each of which has its own choreography. Once learned they can be danced between people who have never danced together before. This is what makes it so popular in Spain and all over the world. The dance is in ¾ or even 6/8 time, split into 4 distinctive parts (coplas) which are each separated with a brief interval and can be either fast or slow. This class is suitable for those new to Flamenco and Sevillanas. You will learn all 4 coplas along with footwork and hand and arm movements.
Please bring water, character or Flamenco Shoes, Castanets and a wide skirt.

FLAMENCO ARABE (FLAMENCO & BELLY DANCE FUSION) BEGINNERS/INTERMEDIATE

DESCRIPTION: This class you will learn technique, arm work (braseo), improvisation, skirt work and choreographies in an intensive format. In this class you will also learn foot work (taconeo) and the use of more props like the Manton (Shawl). Students in this class will be able to participate in various shows & events.
Please bring water, hipscarf, fan, veil, and a wide skirt.

LATIN FUSION (SALSA & BELLY DANCE FUSION) BEGINNERS/INTERMEDIATE

DESCRIPTION: Latin fusion is a mix of Salsa, Merengue, Tango, Cha Cha, Samba and all Latin styles fused with Belly Dance. This class will not only teach you how to fuse these dances together but it will teach you the authentic steps for each style of dance. Prepare to work out as this class us very energetic and FUN!
*Performance oportunities are also available for Latin Fusion. Let ZiZi know if you are interested in performing.
Please bring water and a towel. Ballroom shoes and or Character shoes are optional. Hip scarfs are welcomed ;-)

DESCRIPTION: After many requests, we have now opened up a Flamenco Fusion class JUST FOR KIDS! This class you will teach your child discipline, dance technique, arm work (braseo), improvisation, skirt work and choreographies in a fun and educational format. Dancing builds self-esteme, confidence, social skills, discipline, physical health and much more.
Students in this class will be able to participate in various shows & events.
Please bring water, hipscarf & a wide skirt.
